Through its zones, the Agency currently buys, stores and sells five types of grains;

i. White Maize

ii. White sorghum

iii. Paddy rice

iv. Chickpeas and

v. Pigeon peas

These grains are bought and sold in various warehouses based on their availability. Maize is bought and sold in all Agency Zones. Sorghum can be bought and sold through Dodoma and Shinyanga Zones. In addition, Paddy rice can be bought and sold through the zones of Makambako, Songwe, Kipawa, Sumbawanga, Mpanda and Shinyanga. These grains are available with high quality which meets international quality standards.
