The Dodoma Zone Offices are located in Dodoma City and are led by the Regional Manager. The zone was established strategically to be able to serve the Central Regions of the country which are Dodoma and Singida. The Dodoma region has warehouses with the capacity to store 39,000 tons of grain, in the areas of Kizota - Dodoma (30,000 tons), Manyoni - Singida (4,500 tons) and Singida Urban (4,500 tons), Chakwale Gairo ( 1500 tons), Mrijo Chini (1500 tons) and Engusero ( 2000 tons)
Currently, the agency is implementing a project to increase grain storage capacity by building modern silos and warehouses to improve storage structures in Kizota, Dodoma Region. The completion of this project will increase the grain storage capacity from the current 44,000 tons to 64,000 tons.
Grains that are bought, stored and circulated/sold through the Dodoma Region are maize and sorghum. This region has a high demand for grain.
